Building With AI: How I Build Quick POCs with LLMs (Wharton Guest Lecture)

Presentation to Wharton OIDD 321 - University of Pennsylvania In this lecture, we'll discuss practical approaches to improving workforce management through the use of labor data, enriched with synthetic data generated by language models and simulations. With this information we'll discover how easily we can begin to leverage optimization algorithms to improve an organization. We'll also cover the benefits of integrating programming skills into economics and IT education, emphasizing how these tools can lead to more effective problem-solving and decision-making. Speaking from the perspective of a Machine Learning Engineer, I'll share my experiences in applying these technologies in everyday scenarios, aiming to illustrate how such interdisciplinary methods can address current workforce optimization challenges.
